The Public Employment Service Office (PESO) of Lapu-Lapu City will conduct a pre-employment orientation seminar (PEOS) for all overseas applicants.
This will be held at the Lapu-Lapu City Sports Complex from 8:00 am to noon on April 21, 2013.
The seminar is in coordination with the Philippine Overseas Employment Administration (POEA), the government agency that promotes
and monitors overseas employment of Filipinos.
South Korea and Taiwan are some of the countries that hire Filipino workers. Other countries that need laborers from the Philippines and the qualifications required for overseas employment will be discussed during the seminar.
Applicants 18-37 years old, with or without experience, and at least high school graduates are invited to join the seminar. No entrance fee is needed. They only need to bring a pen of any color.
Aspiring overseas workers should also be aware of illegal recruiters. The PESO hotline 032-3408264 is open to any questions and complaints.
