For the past nine years, Amazing Show has conducted yearly a search for the most beautiful transvestite and transgender in town.
The pageant aims to develop newer better and better means to reach out to more spectators.
On its 10th year, Amazing Show unveiled during its press conference in Mactan Isla Resort and Spa its 20 beautiful transgender candidates for this year’s Amazing Philippine Beauties 2012.
The 20 ladies donned swimwear attire to showcase their feminine beauty and why they are worthy to be the next Amazing Philippine Beauty 2012.
Lapu-Lapu City Mayor Paz C. Radaza could not attend but tasked her new tourism officer, Hembler Mendoza, to read her message to the group.
Mendoza stressed on the City’s support for the endeavors of the gay, lesbian, bisexual, and transgender sectors of society.
“We have accepted them for who they are. We provide them equal treatment and give them the same economic opportunities that we offer other sectors of society,” the mayor’s message delivered by Mendoza stressed.
The local government organized and launched a local organization known as MASK or Mahuyang Alang sa Kalamboan for gays.
The 20 ladies would fight for the title during the pre-pageant on November 16, 2012 and coronation night on November 17, 2012 at the newest building of the “Philippines’ Premiere Theatrical Family Show.”
The Amazing Show Cebu will be held in Barangay Maribago, Lapu-Lapu City. The winners would receive gifts and prizes worth up to P100,000.
